Join us in person or online to learn more about the upcoming solar eclipse and solar science from Dr. Terry Kucera, a NASA solar scientist responsible for the *STEREO mission. Engage in conversation and take part in the Q&A session following Dr. Kucera’s talk. The talk will be approx. 60 minutes and takes place in the museum’s auditorium or online. *STEREO (Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory) is the third mission in NASA’s Solar Terrestrial Probes program (STP). It employs two nearly identical space-based observatories – one ahead of Earth in its orbit, the other trailing behind – to provide the first-ever stereoscopic measurements to study the sun and the nature of its coronal mass ejections, or CMEs.
