Money in the Canal Era was a confusing thing. There were coins called pieces of eight and a 10-cent bill. Plus, both merchants and buyers used the once-popular bartering system too! Students will explore the history of money through interactive lessons, hands-on games and art in the Grist Mill, a location where money changed hands many times in Indiana’s early history. Registration required by April 3. Choose from the 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. sessions below. Recommended for ages 7-11.
