Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites

By using math, science and social studies skills, students will learn about the French Fur Trade in early Indiana. Discover more about the beaver and its habitat, as well as the cultural changes that occurred when the French and the Native Americans began to trade, and the concepts of bartering, trading, wants and needs. Students will also learn about timelines and how to create them. Program takes place at 1 West Harrison Street, Vincennes. Recommended for grades K – 8.
