WHAT: The Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites will unveil renderings for the Singing Winds Visitor Center on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. Following remarks and the groundbreaking ceremony, light breakfast fare and guided tours of the site will be offered.

Thanks to the visionary leadership and generosity of Barbara and Bob Stevens, the visitor center will help enhance the guest experience and allow for additional programming, facility rentals and restrooms on the grounds of the site.

Noted Indiana artist and member of the Hoosier Group of American regional impressionist painters, Steele was inspired by the picturesque scenes that he encountered in Brown County. Steele was at the forefront of the state’s art movement and remains one of Indiana’s most honored artists.
