CORYDON, Ind. – Corydon Capitol State Historic Site is now accepting reservations for its sixth annual Homeschool Day on Wednesday, April 26. Participants can choose to attend a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon or an afternoon session from 1 to 4 p.m.

The day features hands-on activities and presentations such as flint knapping, visiting with an Irish canal worker, learning early 19^th manners and a dance, and more.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for homeschooled families to enjoy all that the Historic Site has to offer,” said Laura Spalding, program developer at Corydon Capitol. “We hear wonderful feedback about how the families enjoy spending quality time together at our beautiful site and learning in a hands-on environment.”

Activities are tailored to students ages 7 through 17, but all ages are welcome to attend. A tour of the First State Capitol Building, which was the center of Indiana government from 1816 to 1825, is also included.

Admission is $8 per student. Reservations are required.

Corydon Capitol State Historic Site is located in Harrison County in southern Indiana.
