A Dream of Beauty holiday event returns to Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site
ROME CITY, Ind. (Nov. 1, 2019) – A favorite Rome City tradition will take place once again this December at Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site during the annual A Dream of Beauty celebration.
WHAT: Attendees are invited to enjoy live entertainment, holiday goodies, crafts and horse-drawn carriage rides around Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site at this annual event. Plus, explore Gene’s Cabin all decked out for Christmas, according to her description of the Christmas of 1917 in the home – which she called “a dream of beauty.” Families will also have an opportunity to share their wish lists with Santa.
WHEN: 1 to 6 p.m., Dec. 1; Santa will be there from 2 to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site, 1205 Pleasant Point, Rome City, IN 46784; tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Center.
PRICE: Included with purchase of site admission, which is $8/adults, $7/seniors ages 60+, $5/youth ages 3-17, and free for children younger than age 3 as well as Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites members.
