Who we are shapes how we dress - and the colors we choose to wear
Visitors explored nine colors through more than 50 outfits from the museum’s historic clothing and costume collection. They considered how yellow speaks differently when used in an everyday summer cotton dress versus a high fashion silk Dior gown. Visitors could feel samples of the fabric and learn about some of the pieces from the eye of the designer and the wearer. Some featured costumes included Jackie Jackson of Jackson 5, Katie Douglas of the Indiana Fever’s home game jersey and several pieces designed by well-known Indiana designers Bill Blass, Halston and Norman Norell.
