REPRESENT: Celebrating Indiana’s African-American Artists

Enjoy an hour-long tour of the museum’s latest special art exhibition, REPRESENT: Celebrating Indiana’s African-American Artists, which includes work by African-Americans who have lived and worked in Indiana. From William Edouard Scott’s early French easel paintings to current artists who paint, photograph, sculpt and make textile, ceramic or collage artwork.

Indiana State Museum Architecture
Join this tour to see how native materials such as glass, stainless steel and limestone were used to build the Indiana State Museum. Discover the historical significance of these materials, find out why the front of a school is inside the museum and learn the reasoning behind the overall design. The Indiana State Museum doesn’t just house exhibits and collections — it’s an attraction in itself!
