NEW! Ice Age Animals
Grades 3 - 8

Students “know’ about dinosaurs and Ice Age animals, but can they apply that knowledge to Indiana. In this workshop students will discover what happened to Indiana’s dinosaurs, what a teleoceras is, and how the appearance and disappearance of Ice Age animals provide us clues about our ancient environment. Students will use their reasoning skills to understand why the giant beaver became extinct, but the American beaver did not, analyze what the discovery of a giant land tortoise in Indiana means, and deduce the difference between a mastodont and mammoth. Come and discover the answer to these questions and much more.

This workshop is supported by the LDI 100th Anniversary Celebration Cultural Partnership Gift Program.
