Native American Dance Circle

Feel the beat of the drum, see the color and beauty of Native American Culture and get your feet moving. The Dance Circle features art and music, traditional dancing, activities such as creating cordage and discovering how to hunt a mastodont. Explore rich and vibrant Native American cultures by talking to local Native American artists, tribes and cultural organizations, and discover that Indiana is still the land of the Indians.

Activities include:
  • Play the Potawatomi Dice Game
  • Learn words in Potawatomi and Miami
  • Discover the first Native American in Indiana
  • Design Rock Art
  • Create natural fiber cordage
  • Much, much more
This event is included with museum admission and free for members. School group and homeschool group reservations are required to receive the $1 per student admission fee. Space is limited so call 317.232.1637 to register your class for this exciting educational event.
